CORDYCEPS MILITARIS

Cordyceps militaris is a parasitic fungus that primarily invade living insect pupa and slowly draw nutrients from them, inevitably killing them to produce the orange tubular mushroom to then drop spores to infect new hosts. They are cultivated indoors using rice enriched with a nutrient broth for a more consistent product rather than using live insects as the grow medium. Cordyceps militaris is known for its ability to help the body utilize oxygen more efficiently and enhance blood flow and is being used by many athletes to enhance performance.
